Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. - The Electrical Engineering Directorate is responsible for the guidance, navigation, signal processing, target detection and tracking system functions of the electrical subsystems used in our products. This Electrical Engineer will develop FPGA designs for all major vendors and device families including AMD, Intel, Microchip, and Lattice. Designs are implemented using VHDL and support the following type of applications: gigabit serial interfaces, Radio Frequency (RF) and Electro-Optical (EO) Digital Signal Processing (DSP), control loops, data links, embedded processing, and processor interfaces. FPGA Design Engineers work with circuit card designers and systems engineers to develop requirements, select parts, architect the device, perform code development, simulation, and place and route. Designs are verified against requirements using both directed test and constrained random methodologies. Design support is expected from requirements definition through integration and test, and eventually production. Designs are documented and configuration managed throughout the entire design process. Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • Experience with VHDL or Verilog coding.
    • Experience with one of the following FPGAs: AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Microchip/Microsemi -
      • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
        • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer -
          • ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
            • Experience with tool flows in Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus or Microchip Libero.
              • Knowledge of C programming and scripting languages such as Python.
                • Interested in embedded systems design utilizing Microblaze, Nios, and ARM processors. What We Offer

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
