  • Patient Ratios: 6:1 on Acute Care, 4:1 on Neuro stepdown
  • Unit staffing description: 1 RN Charge is over all of 10 tower, 1-2 Techs and a unit secretary
  • Type of equipment: Acute Care side includes vital sign machine, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, and various drips. Neuro stepdown includes Vapotherm, Bipap, Trachs, titrating cardiac drips.
  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • Scheduling requirements: Weekends shifts are required
  • Floating policy: Experience nurses can float after orientation
  • Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report, personal connection, and daily huddle
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have strong nursing skills and time management in Acute Care
    • Neuro stepdown experience preferred
    • Strong critical thinking skills
    • ACLS and BLS required
